“I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?”
― John Lennon
We go through our cycles ~ maiden, mother, crone ~ all we’ve ever tried to master was the good… being the good student, the good friend, the good lover, the good wife, the good mother, the good employee… and in the midst of all of this we try to be good to ourselves. After all, we must sustain this giving body, spirit and mind that make us who we are. We expend so much energy to create a world of happiness for those who make up our world… and question if it is ever enough. At the end of the day we enter our solitude, stepping back to observe our masterpiece… see the beauty, find the flaws, and make the changes needed to create this piece of life art that makes us feel proud of all the good we have done.
As Grandmother Spider… we instinctly, and obsessively build, repair, rebuild in a never-ending cycle. Only in that moment that we take that final breath is the masterpiece done, that we can stop and say, “Okay, this is good.”
